The Presentation Congregation has a rich, deep-rooted history in Carlow and the wider diocese. Sisters arrived in Carlow town in 1811, opening their first school in the basement of a house on Tullow Street.
Holy Angels Day Care Centre, located at Strawhall Industrial Estate in Carlow, continues this legacy of compassionate care by providing essential support and services for children with special needs.
On the 30 April, ‘Holy Angels’ celebrated 250 years of the Presentation Sisters with the planting of an oak tree, and all the children creating paper lanterns in memory of Nano Nagle. The celebration was organised by Sr. Maureen Miley.
