“One does the planting, another the watering,
but it is God who makes things grow” (1 Cor 3:6)
It is out of such theology that Nano Nagle lived and prayed and worked.
She generously gave her all, ‘all in her power’, trusting that her efforts in planting seeds would one day yield a harvest blessed by the ‘power of the Almighty’, with unforeseen success.
We have reason to be inspired and encouraged as we reflect on our humble beginnings and on the outcome.
The vision of Nano Nagle (founder of the Presentation congregation) has the potential to continually inspire us. That vision is not narrow. It is as broad as the Universe.
This invites us to reflection on the difference that one person, one courageous act of faith, one simple planting of a seed can effect.
“Not words but deeds”!
In God’s great plan of love, the Power of One can change the world for the better.
What seed can you plant? What can we do together?
