Justice for All: People and Planet
‘Love one another & spend yourselves for the poor’.
The provincial Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) Commission will hold a Day for Justice on November 24th, 2018 at Mount St Anne’s, Retreat and Conference Centre, Killenard, Portarlington, Co. Laois, exploring the theme: ‘Justice For All: People and Planet’.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Lorna Gold (Trocaire), who is now leading a project on the implementation of Laudato Sí into church life. She will reflect on our twin obligations, Care of the Earth and its People.
Paul Frecklington of ARD Family Resource Centre Doughiska, Co. Galway and Srs. Imelda Wickham and Mary Hanrahan (Clondalkin) will speak about projects which reach out to those most in danger of being left behind (Ref. SDGs).
We hope that this will prove a day of both inspiration and learning—that these stories will grow & enable the commitment to justice in our communities.
The event will begin 10.00 am and end at 3.30 pm.
Attendance at this JPIC Day is free of charge (including lunch) and all are welcome, so please feel free to share the details of this day widely.
The Closing Date for receipt of all bookings to attend is 12 noon on November 20th to nepjustice@presprone.com or by calling Isabel on 01 416 6122.
