Love Song To The Earth

This is more than just a ‘feel good moment’ the Love Song’s creators and Apple are donating every penny that the song earns to Friends of the Earth and the UN Foundation to fund their work to fight climate change.  Some of the world’s biggest names in music have joined voices to inspire real action on climate change, and to support the United Nations’ call for a meaningful, universal climate agreement.

As Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmed el-Tayeb said in the recent signed Document on ‘Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together’: 

“Faith leads a believer to see in the other a brother or sister to be supported and loved. Through faith in God, who has created the universe, creatures and all human beings (equal on account of his mercy), believers are called to express this human fraternity by safeguarding creation and the entire universe and supporting all persons, especially the poorest and those most in need”.

In the light of this quote, the lyrics of this ‘Love Song To The Earth’ struck me as almost being a ‘litany’ of ‘prayer for action’ on behalf of the entire Universe and its Peoples.
