7 Areas of Activity

The purpose of the Way of Life Office is to collaborate with the movement of God’s grace within us individually and collectively, as set out in our Congregational documents.

What is God asking of us at this time?

1. Spirituality

The 2012 Congregational Gathering called us:

“To nurture our call, personally and communally, by entering the still spaces within.”

2. Friends of Nano & Associates

Today, the Friends of Nano & Associates Movement is a worldwide community of lay women and men who are committed, as Nano was, to ‘act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with God’ (Micah 6:8).

3. Vocation Promotion

The Presentation Sisters welcome the words of Pope Francis in:
THE APOSTOLIC LETTER TO ALL CONSECRATED PEOPLE ON THE OCCASION OF THE YEAR OF CONSECRATED LIFE who urged religious not “join the ranks of the prophets of doom who proclaim the end ……or……. meaninglessness of consecrated life” and so we constantly set out anew, with trust in the Lord.”

4. Ongoing Formation

In our daily lives we do not let ourselves be conditioned by narratives of aging or decline. What counts for us is the capacity to repeat the initial “yes” to the call from Jesus that continues to be heard in an ever new way , in every season of life . His call and our response keeps our hope alive.

5. Justice, Peace & Integrity of Creation

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” This is a priority that is needed right now “to be prophets who witness to how Jesus lived on this earth… a religious must not abandon prophecy”. Prophets tend to be on the side of the poor and powerless, for they know they know God himself is on their side. – Pope Francis Joy of the Gospel, Nov 2013
